Welcome to Freshly Squeezed, a weekly new music playlist: spanning country, pop, EDM and urban, mainstream and other.

As I tweeted in the early morning hours today, LIZ‘s debut LP, Planet Y2K, is “a glitter bomb right back to my early teens. What a gift.” That’s not hyperbole talking, that’s the tea. Such cuts as “Electricity” are coated in a thick late-90s shimmer – harkening to Britney Spears, Christina Aguilera and Destiny’s Child – with a modern sensibility that is sharp and glints in the mid-day sun like pebbles at the bottom of a dried up creek bed. “Hook me up before it’s gone!” she coos through cosmic synths. And soon, you’ll be jetting off into the Milky Way for an adventure of a lifetime (ala “Oops! I Did It Again”). Get suited up!

We should be talking more about ROZES. She has a stunning pizzazz in her songwriting that takes your senses prisoner and won’t let you go. With her new song “Walls,” she links up with legendary singer-songwriter Mat Kearney for a performance that perfectly blends both their styles into a spellbinding potion. It’s an explosively visceral anthem that layers on haunting “ooo”s in the right amount; the musical complexity is as a blanket of stars sparkling in a deep velvet sky.

The new playlist also includes Lindsay Ell, Josef Salvat, Matthew Pinder, Aubrie Sellers, Fly by Midnight, Billie Eilish, Sonia Leigh, Lazybones, Fletcher and countless more!

In all, we’ve got 30 new tracks to power your weekend ahead. Get to listening!

Each playlist will be refreshed every Friday morning/afternoon. We reserve the right to update anytime during the week, so make sure you bookmark this page.
