Welcome to Freshly Squeezed, a weekly new music playlist: spanning country, pop, EDM and urban, mainstream and other.

Denmark’s Jacob Faurholt isn’t afraid to scare you to jolt you awake. His new song “The Dark Isn’t Right,” which seems to claw at humanity in almost an animalistic way, creeps out of the blackness with a soapy sullenness. “So, where have you been / Will I see you tonight / Because I am afraid to get caught between the moving lights,” he lets it all slip off his tongue, as if purging the toxins from his stomach before he can finally pick himself up again. The weepy dark-folk ballad samples his new album, Shake Off the Fear, expected September 6.

Cassy London loads up on tense electricity with a new song called “Suburbs,” a collaboration with producers Dog Collective. It’s the musical manifestation of bubbles tickling your nose or the sweet sent of lilacs wafting into an open widow this summer. “Boy, I’m not ready / I’m not ready,” she sings on the final frame, distortion fading out and onto the sun-bleached horizon. It’s both breezy and wholly intimate in scope, the production shooting her voice through a crystalline prism of effects and fireworks. What a magnificent display.

Pop treasure Benedict Cork is just out here “Breaking Hearts” all over the place with his new stunner. Ivories twinkle before the drop, a smoldering one that crescendoes in calculated drips, and Cork’s voice has never sounded so eloquent and smooth. “I don’t love you in the same way,” he coos, turning up the gas as he sets the world on fire around him. Even as the ash begins to fall as snow, he pushes it all to the limits as far as he can, and you might as well bow to him. His falsetto is to die for. Literally.

Our new FS installment also features Michael Mendrano, Eli Raybon, Katy Perry, Miley Cyrus, Wilder Woods, Smoke Season, Davy Boi, The Pierce Project, Prince Fox, Aimee deBeer, Highland, Kensington Moore, Dalton Domino, Whiskey in the Pines, Carl Anderson and more!

In all, we’ve got 30 new tracks to wake up your senses. Get to listening!
