Welcome to Freshly Squeezed, a weekly new music playlist: spanning country, pop, EDM and urban, mainstream and other.

Pop music won’t be the same once Myylo gets done with it. His second EP, I’m a Nice Boy, is already vying for one of the year’s finest ⏤ and is certainly competing for a slot on our upcoming Best EPs of 2019 So Far scorecard (keep your eyes peeled to the first week of July, folks!). While we’re still recovering from whiplash from twerking to that excellently-written and sassy body of work, Myylo takes us for another trip with a new single. Boy, calm down! “I Can’t Help But Look” continues his special elixir of pop and hip-hop-fluffed swagger, and we’re already exhausted (in the best way possible). Dig in. Juice it up. Let it all go.

Owning up to his whiteness and his unwitting role in perpetuating social injustices, indie-rock guitar-slinger Declan Kennedy showcases his journey with a new song. “Guilty as Anyone,” blurring lines between genres, feels very much in-line with ’90s alternative rock. “I was born with a loaded gun,” he structures it with an alarming sense of the evening news. His awareness is the kind of change, especially coming from the white, straight, male breed, that’ll really drive us forward. We can start here.

Soul-pop spinner and blog favorite Kara Frazier stakes her claim with soaring new power ballad. On the heels of her wondrous debut EP, Seven Ages, she flies even higher with the truly chill-inducing “Say You Love Me.” She’s the kind of torch singer that we’ve so desperately needed, combing Patsy Cline and Anne Murray with a fluttering sweetness. She glides as effortlessly as an eagle overlooking the Sahara Desert; her wings cut through the breeze in hushed flapping. And Frazier, one of Nashville’s greatest treasures, is just outstanding.

Our new jam list includes VINCINT, Cory Stewart, Sampa the Great, ROZES, Joanie & Matt, Jasmine Ash, The Slow Drag, Halfloves, Alyssa Trahan, Cam Monroe, Lola Coca, Francois Klark, Margø, The Darcys, Jennifer Nettles, Chris Stapleton, Pointed Man Band, Sheryl Crow, Lost Stars and more!

In all, we’ve got 30 new tracks to wake up your senses. Get to listening!

Each playlist will be refreshed every Friday morning/afternoon. We reserve the right to update anytime during the week, so make sure you bookmark this page.
