“Another Friday night news dump / Another shitty thing from Trump,” laments Leland Sundries frontman Nick Loss-Eaton. With a new song called, you guessed it, “Another Friday Night News Dump” Loss-Eaton summarizes 2020 and overwhelming feelings of dread, anxiety, and hopelessness. “He’s been lying for five straight days / Friday, it goes down the drain,” he sings, further cutting to the truth. One more month, and we at least get a competent leader, ya’ll.
