While The Cowgays are taking over the scene, trio member Adam Mac continues his firestorm of solo music. His new song, “Hate to See Me Coming,” sees him reclaiming a genre he grew up loving but never saw himself represented in. “Yeah, bless your hatin’ heart / I’m who you want to be,” he sings, curling his tongue around every single syllable. It’s the kind of statement-making song that just makes you want to stand up and cheer.
