Taste Test: Cherryade celebrate uniqueness with new song, ‘Do My Thing’

In the face of conformity, alt-pop duo Cherryade are never ones to kowtow to the powers that be. Instead, they are known to shake loose from conventions and set fire to the world around them. With their latest entry called “Do My Thing,” clunking cowbells glueing it all together, the mainstream muckrakers confront the pressures to fit in and continue to cement a name with their erratically explosive blend of hip-hop and electronica. “Get wild / Get hot / Get crazy,” spouts off Ella, flame spewing from her lungs. Along with Alex, the wild natured performers leave every fuck in the dust, and we’re totally with ’em.
“Do My Thing” samples their forthcoming new EP, Sinking Ship, out everywhere later this year.
