The Evil in the White House should be used to being skewered in art. From film to TV and music, creatives have and (hopefully) will continue letting the poisonous vipers they’re not wanted. With his new song “I Like ’em Braindead,” alt-rock slayer EG Vines worms his way into a scratchy, hypnotic alternative track that’d be primed for early ’90s airwaves. “Theyโre gonna fill the pews, watch all the news / Then theyโll speak for me,” he hisses through static guitars and gummy production. He stares down the powers that be and doesn’t wave for one second.
“I Like ’em Braindead” samples his forthcoming album, Kaleidoscope Dream, out 6/12.
