“We ended two months ago, at least in my head,” admits Eva Rose. In her new song “Give Me a Good Reason,” she struggles with breaking up with her lover. “I don’t have the heart to break yours,” she sings, adding that she sometimes wishes “you would cheat.” The arrangement evokes a sense of misery clanging around in her chest. Despite the swelling, relentless throb, she just can’t muster up the courage to be honest. Sometimes, you have to let a relationship die naturally.
