Freshly Squeezed, Vol. 124: Halsey, Tami Neilson, Margo Price & more

Enjoy new songs from Hayley Mary, Fickle Friends, Jonas Brothers, Stefan Alexander, and many more!

Welcome to Freshly Squeezed, a weekly new music playlist: spanning country, pop, EDM and urban, mainstream and other.

Halsey‘s Badlands was the inspiration for this blog. So, you could say we’ve been stanning from the early days. In fact, it was a live performance video of “New Americana” – released in summer 2015 – that hooked us and dragged us kicking and screaming across jagged concrete. Now, on her third album, Manic, she prances in various styles, always a little more polished but always with her quirky vocal and lyric in tow. “3am” is the punkish, bratty middle sister of the lineup. “I’m reckless / Treated like a necklace / Take a different version, trying it on for size,” she spits serious bars. It’s got a shock collar of electric guitar and pop-rock percussion barreling her vocal forward. It’s addicting.

Tami Neilson has high hair and an even more perfectly-teased voice. New song “You Were Mine” burns long and hard like the end of a midnight cigarette, and her smolder is a cry in the darkness. “Sun comes up / Sun go down / World keeps rolling around and around / The hands on the clock going tick-tock, tick-tock,” she yelps in true torch song fashion. Nothing has quite sent goosebumps shooting down our spine quite like this gem. 2020 coming in scalding hot!

The new playlist also includes other such absolute treasures as Aubrie Sellers, Margo Price, Fickle Friends, Stefan Alexander, Carly Pearce, Kathryn Colina, Jonas Brothers, Hayley Mary, and countless others!

In all, we’ve got 30 new tracks to get you pumping for a new year, new you. Get to listening!

Each playlist will be refreshed every Friday morning/afternoon. We reserve the right to update anytime during the week, so make sure you bookmark this page.
