Freshly Squeezed, Vol. 138: MisterWives, SHEARE, Tessy Lou Williams & more

Enjoy new songs from Ryan Cassata, Dagny, Bror Gunnar Jansson, Call  Me Loop, Lewis Del Mar, and more!

Welcome to Freshly Squeezed, a weekly new music playlist: spanning country, pop, EDM and urban, mainstream and other.

Readying a new album, MisterWives get a little funky and a little brassy. “SUPERBLOOM,” the record’s title cut, is a soul-cleansing spritz, a waterfall of crisp classic pop adorned with the NYC outfit’s signature chewy goodness. “I deserve congratulations / I never thought I’d survive / If you tell me I wont’ make it, that’s when I… superbloom,” Mandy Lee sprinkles out a nurturing vocal. It hooks you, and from deep within, there sprouts a new lease on life.

SHEARE is the kind of artist that defies logic. Like how can a single person notch such an impressive catalog? His new entry “We Keep Lying to Ourselves” is a gooey stargaze in which you sink, sink, sink without fully realizing it, not at first. “When did we start swiping left / To fill a void…” he yearns, the contents of his heart scattering like baseball cards onto the floor. And there we too reveal our darkest fears of the modern world. Are we forever trapped?

The new playlist also includes excellence from Dagny, Steve Earle & the Dukes, Tessy Lou Williams, Bror Gunnar Jansson, Ryan Cassata, Gia Woods, Emily Keener, Lewis Del Mar, Audrey & Hugh, and many others.

In all, we’ve got 30 new tracks to soothe your mind during these terrible pandemic times. Insert heart emoji.

Each playlist will be refreshed every Friday morning/afternoon. We reserve the right to update anytime during the week, so make sure you bookmark this page.
