Welcome to Freshly Squeezed, a weekly new music playlist: spanning country, pop, EDM and urban, mainstream and other.

Fake it till you make it. Fake it till you feel it. Just fake it. It’s a simple concept, but one which carries cold, hard truth. Whatever it is you want in life, if you fake it long enough, also known as really believing it’ll happen, the world will return the favor twofold. Trust me. It took me 30 years to come to this understanding, and I gotta say, it really does work. So, I guess that’s why I connect to Jesse Saint John‘s new single “Fake It,” a sublime piece of pop music that is both universally appealing and personally moving. He’s one of the genre’s best craftsmen, penning hits for Britney Spears, Charli XCX and countless others, so yes, he knows a thing or two about how to build a juicy pop track. “Fake It” follows his debut single, “MOVE,” from earlier this year. He’s officially on a hot streak, guys.

Today’s playlist contains plenty of other magic, too, from two soulful punches fromĀ Maggie Rose to new cuts from Boy Band, Pale Waves, Bend Sinister, Carlie Hanson, Matt Epp and Anna Aaron. Newcomer Felicity, who possesses one of the greatest voices I’ve ever heard in my life, reissues her debut single “Pilot with a Fear of Heights”; R&B spinner Therrell Clark also drops his sterling debut; and Freedom Baby gives us a much-needed escape. As far as EP and album releases go, this week is stacked: we’ve culled standouts from Shlomo Franklin, Courtney Barnett, Cowboy Troy, morgxn, The Pop Ups, Jason Boland & the Stragglers, Buck Meek, MoonZz and Kelly Willis, among a slew of others.

But the buck doesn’t stop there. We’re also enjoying the latest ofĀ Eden Warsaw, Betty Who, Hannah Grace, Backstreet Boys, Occlusions, for KING & COUNTRY, Cheat Codes, Clare Dunn, Violet Days, Abi, Savannah Outen, Tayls and Gretchen Peters.

In all, weā€™ve got 56 new tunes to riding ceremoniously into the weekend ahead. Get going!

Each playlist will be refreshedĀ every Friday morning/afternoon. We reserve the right to update anytime during the week, so make sure you bookmark this page.
