The days, hours, minutes, and seconds leading up to a mental health break flush with varied emotions. There’s recklessness, sorrow, anger, and pure chaos. HAFFWAY mixes them all together and more with his piano stunner “Wind Up.” Skull-throbbing percussion and teardrop-like strings pour forth in the arrangement, absolutely drenching the listener and swallowing them whole. Even though the song is terribly, irrefutably sad, there’s a release that happens at the end. It’s as though black veil has been lifted from your eyes.
