Jake Thistle isn’t one to change everything about himself just to fit into the music business. As you’ll hear with his forthcoming song “Hiding in the Vacancy” (release date TBD), he goes for a big, polished chorus (ala Noah Kahan), but he doesn’t lose sight of his songcraft. He’s still very much rooted in his vast influences, from Tom Petty to John Hiatt, and he’s unafraid to push the boundaries of his style and aesthetic.
