Long distance relationships are, quite frankly, doomed. It’s difficult to know what someone is thinking a million miles away. That’s what Julia Garther contemplates with her new song, “Not in the Room,” an acoustic mid-tempo about a lover giving the bare minimum. That connection is lost, leading her to question every single missed call or text left on read. “I shouldn’t have to be halfway around the world for you,” she sighs. In getting it off her chest, she draws closer to some short of finality.
“Not in the Room” samples her new EP, California’s Killing Me, out now.
