Welcome to Taste Test, a song/video review series of SubmitHub-only gemstones

Emerging as ruler over your own existence takes the kind of gumption that many never unlock. It takes time, to be sure, and when your moment centerstage arrives, your glory can be fully obtained. Synth-pop princess Lara Snow untangles the serpents and various tentacles in her way, shredding them to bits, and finally reclaims the throne she was always destined to own. “Butter Knife,” accompanied with a highly-stylized visual directed by Jonatan Harpak, probes the dark waters of self-doubt and refines the strength that had long been dead and buried and rotten at the bottom. “My fears, I will kill them all,” she vows. A glamorous sheen hovers around the screen, a fantasy dream that shatters through the thick fog as the sun in the early morning hours. And there, Snow appears wielding her voice as a torch and readies for a new dawn in pop music.

“Butter Knife” is another sample to Snow’s debut EP, expected later this year.
