Take a stroll down a dark alley to the local jazz club. It’s filled with smoke, and the dim light casts eerie shadows over the crowd. That’s what Love, BB (comprised of Brooke Backman and songwriter/producer Michael Leviton) beckon you to do with their new music video, “Solitaire.” Its classic film noir aesthetic is not unlike a Humphrey Bogart and Lauren Bacall picture (maybe 1946’s The Big Sleep). It’s magical, entrancing, and a time warp back to the Golden Age of Hollywood. There’s nothing like it.
