We’ve all had crushes ⏤ and the crushing anxiety that comes along with it. Power-pop punk by nature, Illinois indie band Nectar ⏤ of Kamila Glowacki, Aaron Shults, Isabel Skidmore, Jake Mott ⏤ question the flushed feelings flooding their brain and nearly drowning them. “Does it make me stupid / To want to believe / Everything that you say to me,” Glowacki’s form cracks in two. She screams into the abyss, gnarly guitars guzzling down her emotional residue, and even if things never quite become clear, the ride is somewhat cathartic, at least.
