When darkness strikes, hold those you love close. You never know when things will vanish in the blink of an eye. With her new song “Failing Hail,” country singer-songwriter Shiloh Lindsey reminds the listener about resilience and those we can count on to show us the way out of a rainstorm. “There’s a lot of cracks to this existence,” she sings. Despite the anguish she feels, there’s always an exit, mirrored in the song’s bright, hopeful arrangement and string work.
