Welcome to Taste Test, a song/video review series of SubmitHub-only gemstones

It’s easy to breakdown after a breakup. But the vulnerability that comes in the aftermath can open up the senses for new adventures, both love and lust. Blog favorite and pop’s most promising newcomer Stefan Alexander copes with his pain by turning to an array of encounters for a breathtaking personal revelation. “Medicine” smolders between the sheets of a late-night hook-up, and it is there, somewhere between freedom and bliss, that he upends the heartbreak into a necessary rebellion. “Baby, you can tie me up / Show me all that kinky stuff,” he sings. His braggadocios style is infectious and liberating, and as he slips in and out of his falsetto, the listener finds themselves hypnotized into a catatonic state of heaven.

“Medicine” is only the latest in a string of standout gems, including the Pride piece called “Barricade.”
