One of the great horrors of being queer is conversation therapy. With his 2022 film, Children of Sin, writer/director Christopher Wesley Moore dives headfirst into the muddy moral waters of a conversion camp. He uses slasher techniques and conventions to tell a harrowingly real story about teenagers being forced to “fix” themselves for the sake of backwards religious beliefs. In a recent Zoom call, Wesley discussed his introduction to Queer Horror, problematic faves like Dressed to Kill, and what’s next.
