Freshly Squeezed, Vol. 149: ROZES, Illicit Ghost, Vardaan Arora & more

Enjoy new songs from Kane Miller, Michael Love Michael, Madison Beer, Elohim, and more!

Welcome to Freshly Squeezed, a weekly new music playlist: spanning country, pop, EDM and urban, mainstream and other.

Too many people toss around the word “underrated” like it’s their job. When we’re talking ROZES, though, we truly mean UNDER-RATED. And her new EP arrives as another notch on her belt. The title cut, “Crazy” burns right through the soul, as ROZES casts down a flood of tears and seems to transcend through the speakers. “Oh, if I’m crazy, it’s you and me both,” she squeaks out, barely a whisper. She’ll make you feel every ounce of her pain. She’s just that kind of storyteller.

Illicit Ghost has a haunted presence about her. Her music, an oddball mix of electronica, alternative, and pop, feels spooky while also weighing heavy on the shoulders. “Present” lashes the eardrums, whooshes of arsenic-laced production flooding at her feet. “I’m just a little anxious,” she confides. She eventually climbs out of the sticky mental haze and takes a deep inhale: the air and life hasn’t tasted sweeter.

This week’s playlist also includes Astrid S, Vardaan Arora, Michael Love Michael, Eric Bolander, The Killers, Bradley Arthur Maxwell, The Jensen Sisters, Elohim, Madison Beer, Kane Miller, Molly Tuttle, and many others.

In all, we’ve got 30 new tracks to soothe your mind during these terrible pandemic times. Insert heart emoji.

Each playlist will be refreshed every Friday or Saturday. We reserve the right to update anytime during the week, so make sure you bookmark this page.
