Welcome to Taste Test, a song/video review series of SubmitHub-only gemstones.

Dreamy and terrifyingly-hypnotic, the Berlin duo of Juno Francis crisscross a boundless cosmic star strip. Lightning shoots from their fingertips, and equipped with “Dance with Me,” a transportive implement tearing the concept of time in equal halves, the pop scientists concoct a truly spooky, decade-defying romper. The tangy sweet conversation piece harkens to ’80s glitter-fueled Halloween bashes, as the melody bobs to and fro in a vat of swampy cinnamon ⏤ an elixir that’s unmistakably addictive. “Come and follow me into the night,” sings Angelica Ranåsen, the words barely peeking from between her lips. The production gurgles and swirls in glossy funk style, a sturdy constant to Jacob Fagerstål’s work, often visceral yet accessible. “Show me electricity,” Ranåsen grabs your hand and pulls you into an ever-shifting sphere. You’ll get lost, but you’ll be happy you did.
